Before 1952 cinema film was made of cellulose-nitrate which is extremely flamable. Eye film museum has 11.000 of those and stores them in bunkers. Once a year a dedicated team of volunteers checks the condition of the films and I was invited to take part.

Before you know it, the lamp of the filmprojector is creating a burn hole in your film. That's a shame of course… but sometimes it does look very nice. I have listed some treasures i've spotted through the years.
